BNGU: Career Networking

7 Dec , 2016   Matt   Video

Matt and Pauline are both reserved people who avoid crowds, but that’s a terrible way to get good jobs.

Here’s one little #protip for our blog readers that we cut out of the final video. If you want to leave an opening for another person to join your conversation, do exactly that! As you chat, position your shoulders so that you are facing slightly away from your current conversational group, and make sure that you leave enough space between yourself and the next person for someone else to step in. It’s a trick Matt learned from standard theatrical blocking, in which actors “cheat” their bodies so that they face the audience while their characters converse.
